The club has launched a new policy to directly reward members who assist with the organisation of events. From this February those promoting, officiating, marshalling and coaching will be awarded points. At the end of the year the points will be totalled and a fund of £1000 will be split on a pro rata basis. Payment will be in the form of a voucher placed at Colin Lewis Cycles. The Mid Devon has a proud tradition of encouraging its members to experience racing at National level. With club members keen to pursue challenging events we have introduced the following policy. For those participating in National events there will be a mileage rate available of 30p per mile and entry fees paid. At National championships there will also be an allowance for overnight expenses. We will also be taking out a club membership of the Youth Hostel Association to allow members to get reduced cost accomodation when travelling to events or for use on extended touring trips providing other club members are made aware. For all members participating in road racing, the club will reimburse the cost of your racing licence (£31) after six events have been completed.
