13-14/09/08 RNRMCA Navy Weekender

The Royal Navy & Royal Marine CA 'Navy Weekender' will take place on Sat 13 and Sun 14 Sep 08, comprising of a Sporting 16 Mile TT on the Saturday (1700 start) and a 25 Mile TT on the Sunday (0800 start). Although both races are stand alone events, there will be additional prizes for the best placing aggregate times over the weekend from both events.
The HQ throughout will be HMS RALEIGH (Torpoint), which has excellent changing facilities, plenty of toilets and hot showers. Donations are not required for tea/coffee/cakes etc and all the entries fees receieved (minus CTT Levies) will go towards the prizes.
Each event cost £7.00 and cheques are to be made payable to the 'RNRMCA.' This event is normally ran at a loss, to ensure a good prize list for veteran age groups, Vets on std and teams. Both courses are challenging and have some tremendous scenery, with course records currently being held by Dean Robson.

My entry for Sunday event is "in the post". Mt plan is, as always, to drive to Devonport and park up then cycle to and from the HQ as it is only 3 miles from the ferry to HMS Raleigh. It also means that on a bike you go the the front of the queue. Please join me for these well run events on interesting courses.
