Louie Priddle rode in the Youth A Castle Combe Easter Classic on Easter Saturday. Here is his race report
Today I went up to Castle Combe for my first race of the race season. There was a field of 68 riders in the end and I ended up coming in 26th (not bad for a climber!) On the second to last lap there was a crash which I narrowly avoided, the guy who crashed his tire completely rolled off the rim and he hit the deck right in front of me at around 30mph right by a corner! My CX skills came into practice! I ended up bringing back to attacks which were launched and also put in one attack myself which didn’t really work so I thought it would be best to save myself for the finish and just sat in the wheels up near the front. Overall I really enjoyed today and was one of my first big races I’ve ever done so quite happy with the end result!
Well done Louie!
